S for Sensitivity! Tangio Further Enhances its best-in-class TPE-500 Force Sensing Resistor Series

VANCOUVER, Canada, Nov 13th 2017 – Tangio Printed Electronics, a division of Sytek Enterprises Inc., a global leader in Printed Touch Sensing Solutions, today launches “s” variants of its TPE-500 and TPE-501 printed Force Sensing Resistors, bringing enhanced sensitivity to its best-in-class standard sensor range.

Continuing its philosophy of continuous improvement Tangio has addressed the industry-wide problem of inferior sensitivity in small FSR sensors with new “s” variants of its market leading TPE-500/1 FSR sensors. These devices introduce sub 10-gram force detection to the 7.62mm diameter standard sensor market.

Neil Jarvie, Tangio’s VP of Business Development commented, “we found a significant number of customers requiring small footprint sensors with improved ‘first touch’ performance. Typically, sensitivity declines as geometries shrink so we decided to tackle the problem. Our testing shows actuation force down in single digits for our 's' variants. This allows deployment in new applications, or under thicker or more rigid top surfaces.”
